INTRODUCTION

The Professional Development Program (PDP) is a division of the Educational Studies Department in the
College of Education and Human Services at Seton Hall University (SHU). There are four educational communications and technology (ECIT) concentrations in the Professional Development Program applying for accreditation:

Instructional Design and Technology Master of Arts – Initial Certification
Instructional Design and Technology Educational Specialist – Initial Certification Educational Media Specialist Master of Arts – Initial Certification
Educational Media Specialist Educational Specialist – Initial Certification

The Context Statement, with differences between concentrations noted, provides the foundation for the four concentrations in the program report.
